UFABC’s Multi-User Experimental Centers (CEMs) are a complex of multi-user laboratories under the administration of the Dean of Research, equipped with more than 50 medium and large equipment to carry out experiments in the areas of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Engineering.
The CEMs’ mission is to offer conditions for the characterization of advanced materials and biological systems using the most sophisticated experimental techniques available today.
The use of these facilities is multi-user, serving the local community (professors, post-doctoral students, graduate students and undergraduate students) and regional (collaborators from other research institutions, private research centers, companies and organizations) .
The management of the CEMs is carried out by a committee (CGCEM) composed of a coordinator and the researchers responsible for each equipment.
